Heroes of the Holy Land: The Must-See Friends of Zion Museum

The Friends of Zion Museum (also known as “the FOZ”) in downtown Jerusalem is a unique museum with a powerful focus. FOZ shares the significant historical story of Jewish survival, strength and the creation of the state of Israel. 

This innovative museum, featuring seven exhibits spread across four floors,  helps visitors understand the events and people instrumental in the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. It opened in 2015 as the first “smart museum” in this technology-rich nation, using interactive touchscreen displays, dramatic lighting and 3D technology to guide visitors through the museum’s exhibits.

The Friends of Zion Museum tells the story of those who used their worldwide influence to help Jews return to their homeland and the city of Jerusalem. The museum features prominent leaders such as George Washington, Harry Truman and Winston Churchill and individuals such as Oskar Schindlerr and the family of Dutch writer Corrie ten Boom, who risked their lives to help Jews escape the horror of the Holocaust.

Founded by Christian journalist and speaker Mike Evans, the museum provides an inspiring and informative platform for visitors to understand the heroism behind the creation of the state of Israel. Simultaneously, the FOZ stunningly illustrates the biblical story of Abraham and the enduring covenant between God and the people of Israel.
