Returning to the Best Places in Israel

We always look forward to visiting Israel, and for many of our travelers and staff, it is a home away from home. Now that safety protocols are being put in place across the travel industry and Israel’s airports have begun to reopen, we are eagerly counting the days to return.

What we miss most is the intentional time with loved ones in the very places Jesus called home. It’s one thing to read about the Holy Land, but experiencing it firsthand changes a believer. These are just a few of the places we can’t wait to explore and share with you again soon!

Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee is the perfect introduction to the Holy Land. This is the vibrant agricultural region where Jesus once lived, ministered and proclaimed God’s Kingdom. Here, you’ll stroll along its shores and gaze out over the waves where Jesus walked on water and calmed the storm.

Mount of Beatitudes

Stand on the Mount of Beatitudes as you bask in the picturesque views of rolling hills and countryside. Reflect on Jesus’s ministry and teaching in the very place where He delivered the Sermon on the Mount. This timeless moment in God’s presence reminds us of what’s truly important.

The Jordan River

Flowing through the Sea of Galilee and into the Dead Sea, the waters of the Jordan are spiritually significant. Jesus was baptized here, and hundreds of years before, the Israelites crossed this river into the Promised Land. 

For believers, being immersed in the waters of the Jordan River is more than a bucket list experience. It can be a pivotal moment for your faith: a chance to renew your commitment to Jesus and a powerful memory you’ll carry with you forever.

Jerusalem

This bustling city is like an open-air museum for Christian travelers. Our tours pass from one biblical site to another, including the Upper Room, the Pool of Bethesda, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, the Southern Steps and the Garden of Gethsemane. 

As you navigate through the cobblestone paths of this ancient city, take a moment to notice where you are and look at your feet—you’re literally walking in the footsteps of Jesus!

The Garden Tomb

Discovered in the late 1800s, the Garden Tomb is one of the places believed to be the site of Jesus’s burial and resurrection. A quiet, peaceful destination on the north side of Jerusalem, this is where the Good News of Christ was first declared. He has risen! He has risen indeed! 

Imagine standing inside the empty tomb where our Savior’s body may have laid as your heart fills with gratitude for His sacrifice and love.
